What moves where
Offset ↔ backspacing
Both describe the same thing. Backspacing is measured from the mounting face to the inner lip, so it moves with wheel width; offset (ET) does not.

Backspacing (in) = (wheel width + 1") ÷ 2 + ET ÷ 25.4. The extra 1" is the two mounting flanges — wheels are 1" wider than their stated width.

Verify against your own hub — trims and model years differ. 5x114.3 and 5x120 look identical by eye and are not interchangeable.
Before you buy: negative offset increases the load on wheel bearings, ball joints and steering components,
and changes scrub radius — the steering will feel heavier and tramline more. Check clearance to brake calipers
(inner face), UCA/spring at full lock and full compression, and whether your guards need trimming.
Hub-centric fitment matters: use hub rings if the wheel bore is larger than your hub.
